PRONGHORN ANTELOPE HUNT IN WYOMING: 2-5 DAYS : HUNT #1

This has made it possible for us to offer the finest selection of Antelope hunting in all of North America. We offer two, three, and five day pronghorn antelope hunts starting in mid August and running through late October.  We offer hunts for better-than-average, trophy, record-book, two trophy buck hunts, and new for 2011—archery antelope hunts.
After an early breakfast we use 4x4 vehicles to leave camp or town and head out to the hunt area. Spotting Pronghorn involves a significant amount of time glassing for that trophy. To the novice all buck Antelope look alike, but to an experienced guide there are definite differences. Once a good head is spotted, the stalk is planned.
This is a 3-day hunt from either camp or town with 2 hunters per guide. Although we use 4x4 vehicles for transportation, this hunt involves some hiking and crawling doing spot and stalk style hunting. SNS Outfitters & Guides has been very successful in harvesting many Antelope scoring well over 80 inches SCI with at least one breaking the 90 inch mark and with the assistance of our experienced guides you will have a good opportunity to be one of these successful hunters. Since we take a limited number of Record Book Antelope hunts spots fill fast so don't wait. These hunt areas are also harder to draw, so preference points are suggested but not essential.
This is a 3-day hunt from either camp or town with 2 hunters per guide. This is also our most popular hunt offering a lot of action and many opportunities to harvest Antelope in the mid 70's SCI. This is a spot and stalk hunt using 4x4 vehicles for transportation, with some moderate hiking. The license draw for this hunt has been 100%, so preference points are not necessary.
In 2009 we started offering a 2-trophy buck antelope hunt. This hunt takes place from our camp featured in Hunt #2. Due to the abundance of antelope, the Wyoming Game & Fish allows hunters to purchase a second buck antelope tag in many areas of eastern Wyoming. We will hunt two different ranches during this 3-day hunt, allowing you to experience double the fun. This hunt is only offered for a limited number of hunts with a guide ratio of 2 hunters per guide.
This is a great hunt for that first time out west hunter or a parent bringing a child on their first hunt. This is also a great hunt for the person with limited time, or budget. This is a 2-day hunt from town only with 2-3 hunters per guide. Like our Trophy Antelope hunt you will have a lot of action and opportunity to harvest a very respectable Antelope.
Due to popular demand and obtaining an area that SNS Outfitters believes will offer a great experience, we will offer archery antelope hunts starting in 2011. This is a 5-day hunt from town using waterhole blinds. During the hunt your guide will transport you to and from your blind and help retrieve your animal. The guide ratio will be 2-4 hunters per guide.
Most of our antelope hunts take place on private leases. Since Casper Wyoming is surrounded with incredible antelope hunting, you can choose to stay in either motels or camps including both wall tents and lodge camps for your antelope hunt. Our town hunt is especially popular for hunters traveling with non-hunters, as Casper is home to several museums, great shopping and world class fishing on the North Platte River. Our antelope hunts offer so much opportunity that it is almost impossible for the first time or seasoned hunter to go home without an antelope trophy. Our antelope hunts are from 4x4 vehicles using a spot and stalk method of hunting antelope. First you spot that trophy antelope then you spend time sneaking and crawling through sage brush draws until you are within range of your trophy antelope. If you have never done this then we can not explain to you how much fun it is. The physical abilities for antelope hunting runs from mild to moderate.
All pronghorn antelope hunts are at two hunters per guide, except better-than-average archery antelope hunts. One-to-one guide service is available at an extra charge and must be arranged at the time of booking.
Antelope hunting license draw rates vary from year to year but we hunt many areas that draw at 100% and these hunts usually have a 95-100% success rate. Antelope hunting license applications are due by March 15th of each year.
We devised the following definition system to help you determine the type of hunt you desire. We apply for licenses in areas that match your standards. Should you kill an antelope that is better than the one you booked, there is no additional charge. Likewise, if a smaller one is taken no refunds are given. We hunt hard on all hunts and always try to take the best antelope possible for all our hunters.
- Better-than-average: 12+ inch horn length or SCI score of 65+
- Trophy: 13+ inch horn or SCI score of 70+
- Record book: 14+ inch horn up to 16 inches; SCI scores of 76 to mid 80’s
