ON YOUR HUNT WITH SNS
SNS Hunting OutfittersSo what's in store for your hunting trip with SNS?

TRANSPORTATION LOGISTICS
Plan on arriving midday on the day before the start date for your hunting trip. This is particularly important for horse back hunts, it allows us to get you sized and fitted for saddles. Also it gives you time to shoot and make sure everything is ready for your first day of hunting and not wasting your hunt time.

Wyoming Hunts

Fly into Casper, WY for all Wyoming hunts except Hunts #4 and #7 and for our two state deer hunts (#9). Hunters on Hunt #4 will fly into Rapid City, South Dakota, rent a car and drive to Newcastle, WY. Hunters on Hunt #7 fly into Jackson, WY, rent a car (or taxi) to the Box Y Lodge.

For all Wyoming hunting trips except #4, 6 and 7, our hunting guide will pick you up at the airport. If you arrive in Casper earlier than the day before your hunt start date, you will use the motel shuttle bus for transportation to the Casper Parkway Plaza. After your hunt you can use this same shuttle to return to the Casper airport. Maps are available if you would like to drive directly to our hunting camp.

Montana Hunts
Montana hunts all fly into Billings, MT. On our Montana hunts, rent a car and drive to Miles City.

WEATHER
The weather can and will have a profound impact on your hunting experience. Please be aware that we have no control over it! No extra days will be awarded or refunds given due to lost hunting time or season closures caused by Acts of GOD. Any additional costs for motels, meals etc. caused by adverse weather conditions are not the responsibility of SNS.

HUNTER SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
No person born on or after January 1, 1966 (Wyoming) or January 1, 1985 (Montana) may take any wildlife by the use of firearms, unless that person possesses and can exhibit a certificate of competency and safety in the use and handling of firearms. Wyoming and Montana both grant reciprocity to other states, countries and provinces providing recognized hunter safety certificates. Exhibit of certificates is not required to apply for or obtain a license. Certificates must be carried into the field. The minimum age to hunt in Wyoming and Montana is 12.

TAXIDERMY - TROPHY CARE - MEAT PROCESSING
When your buck is bagged, your guide will take care of the field dressing. Taxidermy work and meat processing are available locally. The cost of taxidermy and meat processing is your responsibility. If you can't take the meat home, it can be donated to a local food bank. Note that the cost is still your responsibility. Meat cutting charges run $80 and up depending on customer preference plus the cost of dry ice and shipping boxes. Taxidermy work is approximately $500 and up for a shoulder mount plus crating and shipping. European mounts are $200+.

Heads left to be caped, boxed and shipped to you by local taxidermists are your responsibility. If you want to take your head home to a local taxidermist, this can also be arranged. Antelope heads can be frozen and packed in a box with your meat. Heads taken home by commercial airlines require special care. Please call your airline in advance to acquaint yourself with current airline requirements. In addition, be sure to familiarize yourself to state laws regarding transporting meat and heads with regard to regulations around chronic wasting disease.
