Cow Elk, a true Western Hunt

Western hunts have been on fire this year! Spots for 2021 hunts have become extremely limited. There is good news however, if you do not have your own hunt lined up yet, you still have a chance! We would like to welcome you to Wyoming this November for a cow elk hunt. At this time, we have just a few openings for our late season cow elk hunts.

These hunts take place on a very large working cattle ranch located smack dab in the middle of outstanding elk habitat. SNS Outfitter & Guides has been outfitting here for over 35 years! This means our guides know the terrain and seasonal movements of the elk herd. You will spend the day on horseback with lots of glassing locating elk. Once the elk are spotted, the stalk begins. Every aspect of this hunt is fair chase, a true western horseback hunting experience.

Our bull elk hunts require planning and building preference points in order to draw a coveted Wyoming elk license. However, licenses are easily obtained for our cow elk hunts. Once you book your hunt, we will do the paperwork to obtain your cow elk license for you. It will be ready and waiting in camp when you arrive.

Our late season cow elk hunts run from November 7th through the 25th. These hunts include 3-days of hunting, all meals, lodging, guides, horses and tack along with field care of your meat. The guide service is at a one guide per two hunter ratio.

Our camp is a very comfortable, two story ranch house located right in the center of the 100,000 acre property. Each day after a hearty breakfast, we head out and spend the entire day in the field hunting. We return at dark to be greeted by a hot home style dinner, then relax and enjoy an adult beverage (if you so choose) before turning in.

If you’re ready to join us this November for one of these limited cow elk hunts or have questions about this opportunity, please give us a call. More information can be found as well on our website under the Hunt #3 tab. We look forward to welcoming you to camp and helping you fill your freezer with some organic cow elk meat.
