Meet the SNS Hunting Staff: Bob Siplon

If you’ve followed us for long here at SNS Outfitter and Guides, you know that we are extremely proud of our incredible guides, cooks, camp managers and other crew. We are an employee-owned company, a fact that we hope is reflected in the level of service we provide.

In this post, we’d like to call out one of the great crew members that has been a part of the SNS operation for a very long time. If you’ve hunted with us before, there’s a good chance you’ve met Bob as your camp wrangler, cook or guide. Bob has done it all. No matter what he’s doing, he does it with a big smile on his face!

Q: Bob, where are you from and how long have you been a part of the SNS crew?Meet the SNS Hunting Staff: Bob Siplon

Bob: I’m from Casper and I’ve been a part of the SNS team for 34 years. Pretty much since the beginning!

Q: What your favorite part of your work with SNS Outfitter & Guides?

Bob: My favorite part is the people, both the clients and the staff. Hunting in Wyoming draws so many interesting people coming from all over.

Q: What is your favorite game recipe?

Bob: That’s definitely elk steak. I like to dust it with a little flour and then pan-fry it with salt and pepper.

Q: After wearing a lot of different hats over the years, what’s your favorite camp and your favorite role?

Bob: I like helping as a wrangler at a couple of our camps. But my favorite has to be spending time as a wrangler at the Box Y Lodge. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the people at that camp are wonderful.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in the off-season?

Bob: I’m retired now and I work part time, doing contract work for construction. In the off-season I enjoy traveling. I like spending time in Mexico, especially in the Baja around Cabo, as well as all over the U.S. I enjoy being wherever it’s warm when the weather is cold in Casper!

Bob: I’m proud to have been a part of SNS since nearly the beginning. I’ve had a blast and every season comes with its own unique challenges and fun memories. I’ve seen great country, met great people and witnessed awesome wildlife. It’s hard to beat that!

We would like to thank Bob for sharing with us about his experience and for his many years of making clients happy here at SNS! His optimism and hard work have made a big impact on our clients’ experiences and on the rest of the team! Thanks, Bob.
