Recently we have had an increased interest in our cow elk hunts. Here at SNS Outfitter & Guides, we offer two different options for our cow elk hunts, Regular season (October) and Late season (November). I will be breaking down the differences in the hunts for you today.
Regular Season (October) Cow Elk Hunts: These four-day horseback hunts in the Big Horn Mountain Range are fully guided and include room and board while in camp[...]
It’s hard to believe that October has come and gone. We’ve had a fun month of hunting in Wyoming, including some memorable antelope hunts, mule deer hunts and elk hunts.
The month started out warm, with mild weather through the first week of October. But then we received a quick blast of snow, and the wild temperature swings began, which are typical of the mountains and high plains this time of year. Hunters throughout the month expe[...]

One of those great guys and great guides is David Cardinal. David has been guiding for SNS for more than 15 years. We recently asked David about his favorite things about guiding and his tips for elk or mule deer hunters coming to hu[...]

However, after dealing with the headaches that the snow caused in 2013, nobody was complaining about this year’s Indian summer.
Antelope hunting overall was very good[...]
Our 2015 hunts are starting to fill up! As we are in the midst of this year’s hunts, next season may seem like a long time from now. But if you’ve hunted with us before, you know that some of our most popular hunts tend to fill up before the holidays! That means it’s time to start thinking about your plans for next year. If you are interested in a 2015 hunt, please contact us soon.
We receive a great deal of questions each year about the proper clothing to bring on a Wyoming hunt. While the elevation and terrain may vary drastically from our high country mule deer and elk hunts, to our open country antelope hunts, one thing remains true: on these high prairies and rocky mountain slopes, conditions can change in the blink of an eye. Hunters must be prepared for a wide range of conditions from hot and dry to freezing cold and[...]
