Thunder Basin National Grasslands Bull Elk
Camp Envy
About Camp Envy
Spanning thousands of acres of classic Wyoming country, this hunt offers an incredible opportunity to pursue mature bull elk in open sage hills, pine-covered ridges, and wide grassy draws. SNS Outfitter & Guides has carefully managed this property for years, maintaining a strong and healthy elk herd that continues to produce impressive results season after season.
Fall is prime time for this hunt, when bulls are active and vocal across the landscape. Hunters can expect a thrilling experience as they glass from vantage points and hike into position for the perfect shot. All hunts are conducted using 4x4 vehicles for access, with hiking to reach prime locations. No horses are used on this hunt. This approach allows hunters to cover ground efficiently while still experiencing the challenge and excitement of a true Western elk hunt.

Each day begins before sunrise with a hearty breakfast before heading out with our experienced and knowledgeable guides. Their skill in locating and calling bulls gives hunters the best possible chance at success.
This hunt is one of our more popular elk options, known for its consistent success and limited availability. A higher number of Wyoming Elk Preference Points is needed to draw the license, so planning ahead is key.

Important Hunt Information
Arrival Information:
If you're flying in for your hunt, plan your arrival at Casper Airport the day before your hunt starts, ideally between 12 noon and 2 pm. Your guide will meet you at the airport and transport you to camp.
If you choose to arrive two days before your hunt, arrange airport transportation to the Ramkota Hotel using the hotel shuttle. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel the day before your hunt and transport you to camp. Arriving two days early allows extra time for travel delays, weather issues, or lost luggage.
For those driving, detailed maps and arrival instructions will be mailed around August 15.
What’s Included in Your Hunt:
SNS Outfitter & Guides provides 6 nights of lodging and 5 days of hunting, professional guide service, home-cooked meals prepared by full-time cooks, and transportation during your hunt, via 4x4 vehicle or UTV.
Hunters are responsible for bringing their own personal gear, rifles, ammunition, and gratuities. Please note while we do apply for your hunting license for you, the cost of the licenses are not included in the hunt.
Camp Amenities & Power Availability:
If you use a CPAP machine, this camp is well suited to your needs. Electricity is available in camp, allowing CPAP batteries to be charged as needed. The camp is also equipped with Starlink satellite Wi-Fi for guests who wish to stay connected.
Travel Arrangements:
While we do not make flight or hotel reservations on your behalf, we are happy to provide recommendations. Information about the preferred hotel is included in your pre-hunt packet, which will be mailed to you after booking.
License Application Assistance:
To ensure accuracy and timeliness, we personally submit your hunting license application unless other arrangements have been discussed. The type of license required (special or regular) is determined by your points and the best odds for a successful draw.
