Guided Mule Deer Hunts in Wyoming and Montana
At SNS Outfitter & Guides, we have built a reputation as one of the most trusted names in Western mule deer hunting. With over four decades of experience and exclusive access to carefully leased private lands across Wyoming and southeastern Montana, we offer a variety of hunt styles in high-quality deer country.
Whether you are looking for a spot-and-stalk adventure, a town-based hunt, or a ranch-based experience with comfortable accommodations, we have a mule deer hunt designed to match your goals.

Where and How We Hunt Mule Deer
Our guided mule deer hunts take place across diverse terrain, from rolling prairies and foothill ridges to alpine timber and river bottoms. We operate primarily on well-managed private land where hunting pressure is limited and trophy potential is high. With the combination of private access, careful land management, and experienced guides, SNS hunters enjoy a consistent edge when it comes to both opportunity and success.
We offer three mule deer hunt options to fit different preferences and hunting styles:
- Ranch-Based Mule Deer Hunts — Conducted on private land featuring comfortable accommodations and excellent access to patterned deer movement. Glassing is highly effective here, and the combination of terrain and private access makes this a popular choice for hunters who want steady success rates and convenience.
- Town-Based Mule Deer Hunts — Operating from Casper, Wyoming, these hunts give you access to nearby private ranches while staying in town at a hotel. This is a great option if you want easy logistics, flexibility for meals, and close access to prime mule deer habitat.
- Montana Town Based Rut Hunts — Offered near Miles City, Montana, these November hunts give you the chance to target mature bucks as they move during the rut. Hunters stay in a hotel in Miles City, providing easy access to hunting areas while keeping lodging simple and convenient. Hunting during the rut delivers exciting encounters and excellent opportunities for older deer on the move.
No matter which hunt you choose, every SNS mule deer hunt is fully guided by professionals who scout extensively before your arrival and tailor the experience to your pace, goals, and ability level.
High Success Rates and Expert Guidance

Combined with exclusive private land access and well-managed properties, our hunters enjoy outstanding success rates and an exceptional Western hunting experience.
