Random Antelope Hunts in Wyoming and Montana
If you’re looking to book a guided antelope hunt but don’t have preference points, this is your best shot at getting in the field.
At SNS Outfitter & Guides, Wyoming's top antelope outfitter, we’ve built a program that gives hunters the opportunity to draw pronghorn antelope tags through both Wyoming and Montana's random license draw system. This means you may still be able to hunt antelope in Wyoming or Montana even if you haven’t been building points.
Affordable and Accessible Pronghorn Hunting
Antelope hunting in Wyoming and Montana is one of the most accessible and affordable big game opportunities in the West. These hunts are known for high visibility and strong animal numbers. Demand is high, especially in units only requiring one to two points, our pronghorn hunts tend to fill early.
That’s where our random application program gives you an advantage. It’s ideal for new hunters, those without points, or anyone who doesn’t want to wait years to draw a tag.

How the Random Draw Works
Wyoming
In Wyoming, 25% of all non-resident pronghorn tags are issued through a random draw. Many of the trophy units we hunt have draw odds of 10–20% even for applicants without preference points.
Montana
Montana issues all non-resident antelope licenses through a fully random system. In our primary hunting area, draw odds are about 10%. If you’re looking for an alternative to Wyoming or want a second chance at drawing a tag, Montana is a solid option.
How to Apply
- Download our Booking Form, fill it out, and return it along with the appropriate license fees and a $250 deposit. Be sure to indicate that you want to be placed in the Random Antelope Draw and specify whether you are applying for Wyoming, Montana, or both to increase your chances.
- We submit your application. Once we receive your form and deposit, SNS Outfitter & Guides will submit your antelope license application to the appropriate wildlife agency—Wyoming Game & Fish or Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks—before the state’s deadline.
- If you draw a license, your hunt is confirmed. We will arrange your hunt dates and collect the remaining 50% hunt deposit to finalize your booking. Wyoming typically releases draw results mid-June, while Montana announces results around August 1.
- If you do not draw a license, you get priority for next season. Our office will contact you and offer first-choice hunt dates for the following year. By accepting, you will have 100% draw odds and guarantee your hunt for the next season. At this time, the 50% hunt deposit will be due. If you choose not to rebook, we will refund your license fees and deposit (minus application and processing fees).
