Town Mule Deer Hunts
Casper, WY

Hunt Overview
Wyoming is home to some of the West’s best mule deer hunting, and this hunt gives you access to private ranches that consistently produce quality bucks. Located within easy reach of Casper, these properties offer classic mule deer country with wide sage flats, rugged breaks, and agricultural fields that attract mature deer throughout the season. SNS has managed these ranches for nearly two decades, maintaining healthy herds and strong trophy potential year after year.
Each morning begins with a quick meeting at our hotel office in Casper, where hunters connect with their guides before heading into the field. Using 4x4 vehicles, binoculars, and spotting scopes, we glass draws, ridges, and fields to locate mature mule deer bucks and plan careful stalks for a close, ethical harvest. With healthy herds and expansive terrain, hunters can expect steady action and exciting days in the field.
A field lunch is provided each day, while hunters are responsible for their own lodging and morning and evening meals in town. Casper offers a range of comfortable hotels and dining options, making it an easy and enjoyable base for your hunt.
Our trophy mule deer hunts take place in limited quota area 22, which typically requires four (4) or more preference points to draw a license. For hunters with 14 or more deer points, we also offer quality leases in areas 34 and 89, both known for excellent trophy potential and strong deer numbers.
Town hunts are ideal for hunters who want an exciting, high-quality mule deer experience without the need for a full camp stay. It is a straightforward, rewarding adventure guided by experienced professionals who know this country inside and out.

Important Hunt Information
Arrival Information:
If you are flying in for your hunt, it is best to arrive two days before your hunt begins. For example, if your hunt starts on September 15, plan to fly into Casper on September 13. This allows extra time for travel delays, lost luggage, or weather issues.
After landing, contact the hotel shuttle for transportation to your hotel in Casper.
If you choose to arrive only one day before your hunt, please schedule your arrival as early in the day as possible.
If you are driving, head directly to your hotel in Casper and plan to arrive the day before your hunt in the mid-afternoon.
Once you arrive at the hotel, there will be information available on how to contact our town manager. He will provide a brief orientation and help connect you with your guide.
What’s Included in Your Hunt:
During your hunt, SNS provides your professional guide, transportation in the field, a field lunch, and care of the meat once harvested.
Licenses, personal gear, rifles, ammunition, meals, lodging, and gratuities are the responsibility of the hunter. Please note, while we do apply for your hunting license for you, the cost of the licenses is not included in the hunt.
Travel Arrangements:
While we do not make flight or hotel reservations on your behalf, we are happy to provide recommendations. Information about the preferred hotel is included in your pre-hunt packet, which will be mailed to you after booking. Hunters are also welcome to bring their own camper and stay in a local campground.
License Application Assistance:
To ensure accuracy and timeliness, we personally submit your hunting license application unless other arrangements have been discussed. The type of license required (special or regular) is determined by your points and the best odds for a successful draw.
