At times, western hunting styles have brought up a few questions. Most hunters are very familiar with using blinds or shooting houses set up over travel corridors or more commonly over food plots. This type of hunting style is mostly a waiting game. When your quarry presents a good shot, the hunt is over. Out west, however, most hunts are conducted using a whole different hunting style. Its called, “Spot and Stalk”.

After months of planning and in some cases years of gathering preference points, you have successfully drawn that coveted license. You beat the odds now it’s the final countdown. The preference point application period has once again come around. While many of the hunts offered by SNS do not take years to draw, we highly recommend the purchase of points to help ensure successful draw results.
Doe antelope behavior makes a noticeable change as spring turns to summer in Wyoming. Antelope are typically on high alert. There is very little they do not see, hear or take an interest in. During the last few weeks of May and beginning of June however, some of their skittish behavior fades away. Pronghorn does seemingly adopt a far more lackadaisical mood. Could it be the heat?

Western hunts have been on fire this year! Spots for 2021 hunts have become extremely limited. There is good news however, if you do not have your own hunt lined up yet, you still have a chance! We would like to welcome you to Wyoming this November for a cow elk hunt. At this time, we have just a few openings for our late season cow elk hunts.
Each spring SNS crews survey the hunting leases. We are looking for horn growth, herd health and approximate numbers. These surveys are important as it helps us anticipate the areas that will produce our best chances at finding trophy antelope in the fall. If this sounds like an enjoyable duty, it absolutely is.
